Terms and Conditions

  1. Information on how to enter and the corresponding prizes form part of these terms &conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these terms & conditions.

  2. The Promoter is Western Union Financial Services, Inc. 11F One World Square, Upper Mckinley Road, McKinley Town Center, Fort Bonifacio Taguig, Philippines.

  3. Entry is open to all customers of Western Union Philippines who have a Gold Card applied for and issued in the Philippines. Employees of Western Union and their immediate families and its agencies associated with the promotion are ineligible to enter.

    a. Promo Period: From October 15, 2010 to December 31, 2011


  4. Points System

  5. All customers who make transactions using their Western Union Gold card during the promo period will earn the following points:

    a. Intra : 1 point
    b. IMT Receive: 2 points
    c. Outbound: 5 points

  6. Customers who accumulate 10 points can redeem a P50 mobile phone load. Customers can redeem up to a maximum of P150 worth of phone load during the promo period.

  7. Customers to send an SMS to 2948 to participate in the promo. Details to include their name, Western Union Gold Card number, birthday and address.

    Syntax: Text WU REG <Name>/WUGC Number>/<birthday> /<Address>/<to 2948.
    Example: WU REG Juan dela Cruz/1234567890 /043079 /Makati
    Cost: FREE

  8. To redeem the prize, customers can

    a. Call the hotline 888-1200 to register and redeem OR
    b. Send an SMS to 2948
    i. Subscribers to text WU REDEEM to 2948

  9. Customers can redeem up to 60 days after the end of the promo period.


  10. General Provisions

  11. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Western Union's control, Western Union may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

  12. Subject to any applicable law which cannot be excluded, the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and agents associated with this promotion shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the promotion or any gift.

  13. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to vandalism, power failure, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant government authority) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or may disqualify at its sole discretion any individual in any way involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the promotion.

  14. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out below.
