PROMOTION MECHANICS

Anyone in the Philippines sending money overseas via Western Union Send Money Abroad (or Outbound MT) is eligible to join or participate in the promo. Promo period is from July 20 to December 31, 2011. Only paid- out Outbound MT transactions will qualify as electronic raffle entries. Each transaction/MTCN, regardless of amount (Philippine Peso or US Dollars), is equivalent to one electronic entry. There will be a total of six (6) monthly draws and there will be one hundred (100) winners per month.

All MTCNs for the month (subject to cut-off periods) will be automatically entered into the relevant draw and one hundred (100) winners will be electronically determined for that period. All electronic raffles will be held at 4:00 PM on the specified dates at the Western Union Office located at 11th Floor, One World Square, Upper McKinley Road, McKinley Town Center, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City Draws will be held in the presence of a Dept. of Trade and Industry Representative and Western Union Representatives.

Non-winning entries on previous draws will no longer be included in the next draw. Winners will receive US$100 (the cash prize will be turned over to the winner in U.S. currency). A participant can win only once per monthly draw. If a name wins more than once for that monthly draw, a new name will then be drawn to substitute the previous winner’s slot. A participant could win more than once during the entire promotion period provided he wins on a different draw date.

Eligibility/Liability Guidelines:
Employees of Western Union, its agents (including Western Union Agents) and affiliates, its promoting and advertising agencies, and its relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity are disqualified from joining the promo. Winners’ acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to be interviewed on camera or photographed for purposes of publicity and/or advertising without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

By accepting the prize, winner agrees that Western Union, or any prize sponsors, its affiliates, distributors, advertising and promotional agencies and suppliers and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability for, and shall hold all such parties harmless against damage, loss or injury that may arise from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prizes or participation in this promo.

The winner is solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein including, without limitation, all transportation, all meals, beverages, merchandise, photographs, medical services, and all accommodation expenses.

Notification and Verification:
Winners will be notified via registered mail using their address as provided in the relevant transaction form. The following must be presented by the winner for verification:

Valid ID with picture (e.g. driver’s license, passport, school/or employee ID) bearing the same name and address that was used in claiming remittance from Western Union. Received registered mail. Winning Western Union receipt clearly showing the MTCN In the event winners cannot present the receipt, the winners need to execute an affidavit of loss duly notarized. A 60-day waiting period shall be imposed as soon as affidavit is submitted to the Western Union office in order to ensure veracity of claim.

Western Union will also publish the names of the promo winners in a newspaper of general circulation after the grand draw without any further compensation to the winners. The winner declared by Western Union with the concurrence of the DTI will be final.

Claiming of Prize:
Prizes may be claimed at designated Western Union locations as indicated in their registered mail within 60 days upon receipt of registered mail and upon verification of documents by Western Union authorized representatives.
Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited in favor of Western Union with prior DTI approval.

Winners under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult who must, likewise, present his/her own set of identification papers in claiming the prize on his/her behalf.

Prizes will not be released to winners whose personal identification or information is incomplete.

Western Union will not collect fees from the winners when they claim their prizes.
